Are the bricks made to Australian Standards?

Yes they are certified to Australian Standards by a structural engineer. 

  • AS4455.1: 2008 Masonry Units

  • AS3700: 2018 Masonry Structures

If I build the wall, is the wall to Australian Standards?

Yes, if you follow the laying guidelines and your council approved building drawing.

Are the bricks fire resistant?

Yes they are deemed to satisfy Australian standard fire requirements. See the Technical Specifications page for more detail.

Is there any support if I encounter problems during my build?

Is my house, built with LayGo, insurable?

Your insurance is covered under standard owner builders insurance.

Can the bricks be used as a face brick?

The bricks have a rammed earth appearance. Each brick is unique with subtle variations.

Will the following trades I employ require any specialist advice to complete the project?

There are some minor difference in the work for the electrician. These are detailed in the laying guidelines.
